Teri Estabilio

Teri Nadine Estabilio 61, of Bremerton Washington died May 17 at a private care facility. Born in Kohala, she proudly served ten years in the US Navy and later managed a deli. Survived by fiancé Roger Roark of Bremerton Wa., daughters Brittney Rusinski of Bremerton Wa., Sierra-Dee (Aaron Kiffe) Rusinski of Austin Tx.,brothers Dale Estabilio and Bradley (Pamela) Estabilio of Kohala, and many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, and Nieces.A private service honoring Teri will be held but if you would like to send Aloha or share fond memories, please send them to The Estabilio family at P.O. John Levangie

John Aaron Levangie, 41, of Hull, Massachusetts, departed from us on August 10, 2023. After a scheduled surgery, John faced unexpected complications and passed away in Kona, Hawaii.John was born on June 19, 1982. After graduating from Hull High School in 2000, John followed in the footsteps of his loving parents, Arthur F. Levangie and Kim L. Levangie, and served in the U.S Navy. In John’s memory we will strive to carry forward the enthusiasm and laughter that he had an abundance of for every occasion. Those fortunate enough to know him will always remember his exuberant laugh, along with his genuine capacity and desire to support and care for others. John is survived by his parents, Arthur F. Levangie and Kim L. Levangie, and siblings, Megan, Robert, Jesse, Sarah, Taylor, and Morgan. He was cherished by many aunts, uncles, close friends, and his beloved dog, Emma. John was a devoted and loving Uncle to his 12 nieces and nephews and Johns family will forever find solace in knowing that John’s memory will live on through the fun-loving qualities he instilled in each of them. A Celebration of Life was held on September 22, 2023, in Cohasset, MA. Vernon Kaniho, Sr.

Vernon Maunalani Kaniho, Sr., 72, of Waimea died Aug. 17 at his home. Born in Waikii Ranch, he was a ranch steward and cowboy at Waikii Ranch and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Kamuela Ward). A celebration of his life will take place from 11–4 p.m. Sunday (October 8, 2023) at the Hawaiian Homes Hall in Waimea. Casual attire. Flowers are welcomed. Survived by wife, Rachael Kaniho; children, Vernon (Tyra) Kaniho, Jr., Norman Apana Kaniho, Edward (Cecilia) Kaniho, Leah Bannister, Verna-Lyn (Justin) Kaniho, Mary Kaniho, Ashley Kaniho, Myron (Nasha) Kaniho, Vernon (Kristin) Kaniho, III, Ellena Kaniho; brother, Brent Kaniho; 31 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph Pereira

Joseph M. Pereira, 71, of Mt. View, Passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at home. Born in Sao Miguel Azores, Portugal; He resided in Fall River Massachuaetts, then Mt. View, Hawaii. He was a United States Army Veteran, employed of the United States Post Office, an avid swimmer at Richardson Beach, member of the Naniloa Health Spa. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Gordon Kumuhoni Ke

Gordon Dwayne Kumuhoni Ke, 69, of Hilo died Sept. 11 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kailua, Oahu, he was a construction worker for Grace Pacific, worked at Grayline Tours and a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. Private services. Survived by daughter, Nicole “Pua” Ke of Hilo; siblings, Louella Branco of Kona, Justin Ke of Kona, Linda Keliihoomalu of Oahu; three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
